I recently had the chance to to review the Slug-Doctor Tight Rack System over the last two weeks. I was quite enthused to try out the Slug Doctor since I am very interested in the racking and breaking aspect of the game. With a tight rack and controlled break, players can significantly increase their run-out percentage.
The Slug-Doctor Tight Rack System was shipped very quickly and arrived in three business days to my door. It was very well packaged and even included directions to install the dots. Here is a video by Abe that shows the very simple installation and 8-ball attachment.
Abe also included a large pack of invisible racking dots that will last many time over. I quickly installed the first rack with the invisible dots and racked the balls for the first time in under one minute. After racking a few times, I became very proficient and can now rack in about 15 seconds. The balls are rack very tight with the Slug-Doctor Tight Rack System and break very well. It only took a few breaks to find the sweet spot to break from on my 7ft bar box.
I have now installed the Slug Doctor multiple times on different sized tables and found the balls to be tight every time. This is now my preferred way to rack the balls on my personal table and will be taken to the pool hall.
